Zoë Keating is a cellist and composer based in San Francisco. She creates multi-layered cello compositions which she performs live: recording each part as it is played and controlling the composition in real time via foot pedals linked to an array of electronic devices. Born in Canada, Zoë began her cello studies in the storage closet of a small school in England. She has performed in various groups and has composed music for many independent films.
