“Essential Impro”
Catya Maré - violin

The German violinist Catya Maré performed her first concert as soloist with an orchestra when she was only ten years old. Since then she often has been compared to Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Since 2006 she exclusively is performing her own music: Essential Impro, a completely new form of expression which removes classical music’s dependency on written notation. Polyphonic music for solo violin, which is arising from the moment. CATYA MARÉ collaborates with diverse painters such as Erik Peitersen, Vibeke Lawaetz, Ditte Connie and modern dance-ensembles such as The Sun Dance Company (Århus) and Ingrid Kristensen (Denmark / South America), She performs at museums and art galleries such as National Galerie Berlin, Kunsthaus Zürich, Miami Bass Museum of Art, Aros Museum Of Modern Art (Denmark), Museum of Modern Art Trapholt (Denmark), and Probably Performances In New York.

She also plays in churches, shows and, (occasionally) discothèques.
