With the passing of Joe Zawinul last fall, it brought to mind that Jaco Pastorius has been dead for 20 years now and I thought this was a good time to do my concept of what a Bowed Radio tribute might be to their creative genius. I know Jaco isn't well known for his bowed playing so I made a very humble cover of his composition "Teen Town" featuring the tandem head played on the viola and bass(fretless, of course). Also the saxophone parts are played on the viola. This tune has had a spell on me ever since Weather Report released in in the 70's not only for its audacious head but just as much for the chord structure and simple, hypnotic drum kit and percussion.
